Honeybee Health and Education Go Hand-in-Hand
At Bees & Trees Manuka Honey, we are proud to be working in our local community to educate children about honeybees.
These students, at the Stratford Primary School, in New Zealand are learning first hand how to identify the queen bee inside a demonstration hive. Our 3rd generation head beekeeper, Raul Mateas, whose own children attend this school, is holding a series of hands-on sessions with the children to inform and engage this next generation on the magic of honeybees. The school is working to get needed approvals to have an actual working hive on the property, a project we are very excited to be supporting.
